I've signed up already - first one this year for me.

I would say brave for a first sportive of the year, but it all depends of what your expectations are.

Its hard with 3000 metres.
Possible if you get some rides in with hills. Perhaps you could do some hills round Hampstead prior to doing the Sunday rides. Doing some midweek training would also help.

Have you got the gearing on your bike for this ride ?

Haha yes, I've gone compact in preparation for some of the hillier rides. Although some wag has suggested that the hot accessory for Hardknott is a pair of trainers.

A midweek ride is an idea. I wonder if anyone else is interested. Gotta be more interesting (and better training) than just riding to work - more miles in one go.

Hampstead's always good for a laugh and you can alternate your pain between Swain's Lane, Dartmouth Park Hill and Highgate West Hill Twisted Evil

Phew, looks tough!

If you're doing any sportives later in the season, I'm game for joining in on midweek hill-training, i.e. May/June (will be part of my prep for L'Etape du Tour).
